In short

How do you manage an accreditation process?

Neuros embedded the accreditation requirements directly into the data model: every piece of evidence is tied to an owner, a term and a standard. Because commission workflows run through the system, decisions are recorded like evidence, and the report is generated from the system in the standard format. Evidence is therefore not gathered at the deadline but accumulates throughout the process.

01Challenge

Accreditation is a multi-year evidence-gathering exercise: course content, faculty records, assessment results and committee decisions sit in different files with different people.

02Approach

We encoded the accreditation requirements into the data model, binding every piece of evidence to an owner, a term and a standard. Committee workflows run in the system and reports are produced in the required format.

03Outcome

Evidence accumulates throughout rather than piling up at term end, and the report is generated from the system instead of assembled from scattered files.

Frequently asked

Questions we get asked

It does, because evidence and report are kept apart. What the system holds is the evidence itself; the report format is a template laid over it. When a new body's format is added, evidence is not collected again — only the mapping is defined. Without that separation every accreditation cycle starts data collection from scratch.

Only if entering it is part of work they already do. In this project evidence production was not added as a separate task; course content, assessment results and commission decisions land in the system as the output of work already being done. Any accreditation system that asks for a separate evidence-upload screen ends up filled in bulk and late, at the end of the term.
