How are loads and carriers matched?
Neuros built a two-sided marketplace where load posting, bid collection, carrier rating and shipment tracking run in one flow. Because bids are submitted through the same fields they became comparable, and haulage history and scoring are written into the system. The result is that price and carrier selection rest on comparison rather than acquaintance, and every step of the process is on the record.
01Challenge
Freight and carriers find each other by phone and personal networks. Pricing is opaque, carrier reliability is unknown and nothing is on the record.
02Approach
We built a two-sided marketplace: posting, quote collection, carrier evaluation and shipment tracking in one flow. Quotes became comparable, and history and ratings are recorded in the system.
03Outcome
The shipment process runs on the record, and both price and carrier choice rest on comparison.

A bid is not collected as free text but through the same fields: price, vehicle type, loading date and delivery time each sit in their own field. That structure makes two bids comparable side by side, and the carrier's past shipment count and score appear on the same row. When comparison is made on price alone, the cheapest bid usually produces the most expensive outcome.
Scoring starts from records rather than reviews: completed shipments, on-time delivery rate and cancellation history are held in the system. The shipper's rating is added on top of that record, not in place of it. Because a new carrier has no history, a separate entry threshold was defined — otherwise the marketplace closes into a place where only established carriers get work.
